In 2011, Amazon introduced TV & movie streaming as part of its Prime subscription service. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this boosted Prime subscriptions, boosting Amazon sales, and creating a boom in package deliveries. Today, nearly 47% of package deliveries come from Amazon! This year, shoppers smashed previous records for Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending, with over $7.9 billion spent online. As a result, multifamily properties have been bracing for the millions of package deliveries following in their wake. The dust has settled from Black Friday, and we've pulled a snapshot of package delivery statistics from thousands of Luxer One systems across the United States. These stats shed light on the aftermath of “the largest online shopping day in US history”, and paint a picture of the unique package management challenges apartment communities face every December. 

In 2005 when Arik Levy founded our sister company, Laundry Locker, he had just one employee: himself. Thirteen years and over one hundred team members later, Arik has founded three successful companies, including Luxer One.

On June 13-16, 2018, we joined over 9,000 attendees at the biggest multifamily event of the year: The National Apartment Association's Apartmentalize.
